We often hear the proverbial saying that there is medicine in the grass and in the tree! This is true! After all, there are a lot of medicinal herbs growing around our house, which we don't even realize how important they are and how good they are for everything. We present herbs that can be found around any house.


Nettles are known to sting, so it is worth picking them with rubber gloves to avoid stings that are otherwise anti-rheumatism. Those who are braver can try it without it. In this case, reach carefully towards the base of the nettle and apply the tearing force by sliding your fingers up the stem. So in this case, the nettle hairs cannot sting you. However, it is well known that nettle stings have a very good effect on our body. Let's take a look at its beneficial effects! The nettle is extremely rich in active ingredients and vitamins, the sources found in it are vitamins A, B, C, and K, iron, selenium, and calcium. These have a very beneficial effect on our organ system. Nettle has a very good blood cleansing effect and reduces high blood pressure. In case of sore limbs, nettle tea poultice brings relief to the limbs. In addition to all this, it cleans the kidneys very well. Nettle is one of the surest antidotes for gout, both externally and internally it can be used to great effect. It has a very good anti-inflammatory effect on our body.

Another lovely plant for our body is also grown in Hungary and is one of the oldest used medicinal plants. In addition to its very good calming effect, lemongrass also relieves digestive complaints and herpes. The main active ingredient is essential oil, flavonoid, rosmarinic acid. It has a nerve-strengthening effect, as it is used for incipient depression and severe sleep disorders. Stimulates the functioning of the liver, improves digestion and prevents flatulence. It regulates the functioning of the thyroid gland and is also suitable for reducing nervous tension before menstruation. Medicinal tea is made by boiling. They can drink 2-3 cups of it daily between meals to calm the nerves and depression. This tea should not be too strong, one level teaspoon of tea herb is enough for 2.5 dl of water. In case of convulsive, nervous vomiting, it should be drunk little by little with a cup. Drink a cup in the morning on an empty stomach for hydration.

Lavender is almost as old as mankind. It has been used throughout history as a perfume, disinfectant, antiperspirant and insecticide. Did you know that lavender was used to tame lions and tigers? Even then, they guessed what the researchers are now

The stone rose is an organic ornamental and medicinal plant, perhaps one of our oldest plants used in folk medicine, which is also called stone rose, thunder grass or ear grass.

It was used for first aid a long time ago. In the nineteenth century, stone roses had to be planted on every roof because, according to popular belief, they protected the residents from witchcraft and lightning. Even today, many people use it, although not exactly on roofs, but with the help of this plant, they soothe earaches and ear infections. It is also a well-known remedy for the elimination of discomfort caused by various wounds and insect bites. Its juice also relieves the earache associated with otitis media.
